Xavier's National Moot Court Competition 2024
Mooting is not merely a mock courtroom experience; it is the perfect platform for law students to discover their love for this profession. The Moot Court Society of Xavier Law School is a student led body accompanied by our professor in-charge. We are endowed with the responsibility to instill and grow the culture of mooting in our esteemed law school. Through the course of an academic year, we provide multiple opportunities to our students in order to be prepared for the world of legal advocacy. We are proud to announce the 1st National Moot Court, the biggest of opportunities and the largest of platforms, all amalgamated into one competition.
This competition will provide the students an opportunity to participate in a mock courtroom experience, as well as give a taste of all the hard work that goes into the making and presentation of a case brief. It is the perfect opportunity to hone the skills of legal research and drafting. The oral rounds would give all the participants a scope to improve their public speaking and argumentation skills. A thorough analysis of facts and the application of the correct law(s) will lead to a fruitful experience for all the participants.
It will be an opportunity for all the participants, across the nation, from various law schools to discover their strengths and weaknesses, and inculcate a culture of thorough research and intricate drafting coupled with persuasive argumentative skills.
MCS XLS promises an actual courtroom experience for all the participants
